Unitas is an active member of the COA which is the container industry's leading foundation bringing together shipping lines, operators, leasing companies and service providers to represent their common interests and which has over 130 members.

Unitas regularly exhibits at Transport Logistic Fair, the world's biggest trade fair for transport and logistics. Every two years it brings the “who’s who” in the industry together in Munich for a unique exhibition - with innovative solutions and products for the entire value-added chain in the transport, logistics and telematics sectors.

The international register of identification codes for container owners was originated by the Bureau International des Containers (BIC) and has been published continually since 1970. It was subsequently adopted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1972, forming an essential part of the ISO 6346 standard : « Freight Containers – Coding, Identification and Marking ». This standard also describes technical markings such as size and type code, country code and various operational marks.
